The Meaning/s of Style

Clothes, shoes and accessorize are what most people think when they hear the word 'fashion' and 'style'. Sometimes, that is true- but not always.

The meaning/s of Style are (I looked 'style' up! xD):

1. A particular kind, sort, or type, as with reference to form, appearance or character: the baroque style, the style of the house was too austere for their liking.

2. A particular, distinctive, or characteristic mode of action or manner of acting: they do these things in a grand style.

3. A mode of living, as with respect to expense or display.

4. An elegant, fashionable, or luxurious mode of living: to live in style.

5. A mode of fashion, as in dress, especially good or approved fashion; elegance; smartness.

And there are MANY more- 16 and 19 in including verb (used with object).

In my opinion, style is unique to the person, and slightly different to fashion. No one else has a style quite like another, and the person's style is the most stylish thing in the world for them- and the ugliest and most unflattering thing to another. And that brings us to other people's opinion- it's good to have other people's opinion- but if the comment is even slightly critical- don't be put down by it- it's just their opinion, and not yours, and with your own personal style- it's your opinion that counts- so wear what makes you happy- I do. i sometimes try on a gazillion (Okay, so I may be exaggerating a little) different outfits a day until I find the one that's perfect (but not on school day's, of course), and my style kind of changes everyday but then again- that's my style. i wear what I like and what I feel like wearing! =D so on a rainy day I'd wear my leather jacket (which, in my opinion, kind of looks like a bikers' jacket) and monochrome clothes- and on a warm, summer day I'd wear a jumpsuit with nice bright colors- or a dress with a floral pattern.

Although style isn't just about clothes and fashion, blah-dy-blah dy-blah.

Style goes deep into the core of the person.
